She appeared as Claire Redfield based off the persona from the videogame with the same name. The movie was a box office success tripling its production budget, however, it was a critical failure. Larter played the lead in the direct-to-DVD comic book about a caveman called Homo Erectus. The film co-starred Hayes MacArthur, an actor who she had plans to get married to . Larter performed alongside Beyonce in the action thriller Obsessed. The film debuted with a top position in the world of box-office, but was met with negative reviews, with some critics comparing it with Fatal Attraction . Also, it was this year when Larter and MacArthur married in a small ceremony in Maine one of the guests included Larter's friend Amy Smart. The couple is blessed with two children.
